Restaurant manager at the orchard bar + kitchen, brockley - united kingdom, brockley, london

we are looking for an experienced, warm and friendly person to join our team as front of house restaurant manager. this is a key role in an established, successful local restaurant and the right candidate will be expected to ensure that customers are well looked after, that service standards remain at the high level expected and that staff continue to feel motivated and supported. you will be joining a happy and experienced foh team with a passion for food, drink and service. you will be supported by an assistant manager and a foh supervisor as well as the owners of the busines when necessary.

the primary roles of foh manager will be:

-overseeing a capable and experienced foh team consisting of an assistant manager, supervisor, key holder and baristas along with standard foh staff totalling an average of 10 team members, both full and part time.

-to run service, be present on the floor, liaise with the kitchen, build and maintain a relationship with customers and ensure the high standards of service required are met by all members of the foh team.

-back of office work including rotas, social media management, liaising and ordering with suppliers, staff training and development, drinks menu development including cocktails etc.

to give you an overview of the orchard, we are an all-day brasserie style 60 cover restaurant with a vibrant and warm atmosphere serving innovative and seasonal dishes to a wide reaching, loyal and friendly customer base. from our open plan kitchen we serve brunch, lunch and dinner 7 days a week from noon on weekdays and from 11am on weekends.

the right candidate will have lots of previous restaurant experience as well as experience overseeing a team in a similar environment, absolutely must have a passion for food, drink and great service and have a natural warm and friendly demeanour.

the hours required are 45 per week with a salary package (including tronc) of £38k pa. we offer plenty of staff benefits including wset wine training and a 40% staff discount (also redeemable at our sister cocktail bar brickfields).
