the external communications manager will work within the corporate communications team to implement external communications efforts, create content for social media channels and support the broader team’s efforts to raise awareness about the company and its subsidiaries.

 

additional responsibilities will include:

  • creating shareable content across the company’s and its subsidiaries’ social media channels with creativity and spark: linkedin, facebook, twitter, and instagram to drive engagement and organic growth.
  • planning a social media calendar that supports and enhances business priorities.
  • driving message consistency and alignment with regional and global communication, local business practices, and cultural differences.
  • creating synergies between marketing and communications and key business partners on social media planning, engagement, and monitoring.
  • generating big and creative external communications ideas.  
  • creating integrated messaging, talking points and spokesperson briefing materials, and writing and/or editing news releases and external q&a.
  • assisting with and/or identifying third-party research needs to support thought leadership and storytelling.
  • interpreting and using data analytics to develop reports on social media performance.

    qualifications

  • bachelor’s degree in journalism, public relations, communications, or marketing.
  • 8+ years experience in corporate or digital media communications, corporate communications or a pr agency.
  • strategic thinker with awareness of current affairs and news trends and maintains the ability to prioritize and synthesize data; agile and adaptable.
  • passion for problem-solving and collaborating across multiple teams.
  • hands-on social media planning, engagement, and monitoring experience on various information technology platforms.
  • hands-on experience managing crisis communications and issues response.
  • proficient in microsoft word, sharepoint, excel, powerpoint.
  • proficient in social media software: sprinklr, cision, google analytics.
