the ideal candidate will have a healthy respect for and be interested in:
setting up the kitchen prior to the restaurant's opening.
cooking a specific portion of each plated meal.
assisting with cutting and precooking food.
plating food creatively and maximising customer enjoyment.
cleaning and sanitising the kitchen before the restaurant closes.
wrapping unused items and storing in proper areas at the end of a shift.
maintaining the daily ea handbook, all relevant paperwork and keeping the scores on doors at 5.
making sure the kitchen is a calm environment where people get on and support one another.
responsible for food ordering, stock rotation and control.
helping to develop a successful mid week restaurant service.
maintaining, and improving our existing daily takeout deli service.
level 2 - 4 chef skills would show us that you are a serious chef with ambition and knowledge. we also require a cv showing previously held positions.
there are no late night services. you would have sunday and monday off every week. short hours on saturday.
