Hgv/lgv category c (class 2) - united kingdom, godalming, surrey

category c class 2 driver required to operate vacuum tanker for local sewage company.

responsibilities include:

driving and operating liquid waste tankers throughout the south east in a safe and proper manner, in accordance with company policy, procedure and legislation.
to pump out sewage systems, pump stations, storm water facilities and other similar holding tanks, and dispose of loads at various water treatment sites
use of an iphone, messaging and email, to keep office staff and customers up to date with daily progress
provide a professional, safe and fuel-efficient driving service
after each completed job then all relevant paperwork and correspondence must be completed
carry out vehicle checks and complete defect reports prior to the operation of any vehicle
be able to respond to emergencies in a timely manner, whilst reorganising your work load efficiently.

you must have:

a polite and courteous manner
good communication skills
flexibility to work outside of core working hours
have a good understanding and appreciation of vehicle mechanics
the ability to self-manage and use initiative for solving problems
a relatively good level of health and fitness ideally having a good geographical knowledge of the south east, as you will be based in dunsfold
full uk driving license, hgv class 2 preferable, however not essential as we can offer hgv driver training, if necessary and the applicant is suitable.

contracted hours are 45 hours per week, monday to friday 07:00 to 16:00, with the addition of one on-call weekend every two months. basic pay starting at £31,000 with the opportunity of earning £10,000 - 15,000 per year in overtime and the company bonus scheme.
