Energy engineer - manufacturing - united states, parkersburg

we are recruiting for an energy engineer for a large manufacturing company to monitor energy usage, analyze projects, and process changes to meet or exceed the strategic sustainability plan while maintaining conformance to federal and state laws.

this role will be an active participant in the corporate sustainability group as well as local and industrial energy and sustainability groups.   

 this position will:

create and maintain an annual energy budget by asset

proactively identify energy and sustainability improvement projects

identify technical design or process changes to improve the efficiency and/or performance of all plant assets

lead the installation, calibration, and maintenance of energy metering devices for the facility.

activity coordinate with procurement to identify programs to reduce the cost of energy for the site

ideally, candidates will possess: 

bachelor’s degree in engineering or 10 years of comparable industrial energy management 

project coordination/management experience 

computerized maintenance management systems experience 

working knowledge of industrial best practices in energy management

certified energy manager (cem) certification and knowledge of iso50001 standard is desired
