salary circa 32-40k dependent on skills and experience + benefits + fully expensed company van/fuel card

our client are a family run business based in heckmondwike, west yorkshire. they are looking to grow their work family and need an experienced dust and fume fitter/improver/erector to join them.

the job

• the installation of dust and fume extraction systems (lev), associated ductwork, bracketing etc.

• working closely with their excellent office and contract team to ensure installations are completed to a high standard and on time.

• liaising with customers, site personal and other contractors to enable installation to go smoothly.

• extensive travel, periods of working away and weekend work are a major part of the job as they cover uk and europe.

• the work is varied, each day is different as they work in different environments, such as woodwaste, laser cutting, welding, waste management, food processing and textiles.

essential skills

• full driving license with no more than 3 points

• experience and knowledge of the dust and fume extraction industry (not hvac).

• ability to run jobs efficiently

• be able to liaise effectively with customers

• be able to read drawings, problem solve, implement changes, and site measure parts for manufacture as and when required.

• experienced in site work, with a sound knowledge of health and safety requirements.

• ability to guide and mentor your installation assistant on the job.

• good verbal and written communication skills

desirable skills

up to date training in ipaf, safety passport, pasma, confined spaces, first aid and harness are preferred but not essential as training can be given.
