job summary:

the registered nurse functions as a primary liaison between patient and physician, via phone or in person. under general supervision, the registered nurse implements the entire nursing process to include assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation for an assigned group of patients and provides quality patient care that is efficient, effective and evidence based. collaborates with the clinician and staff in the delivery of patient care.

 

duties and responsibilities

independently, provides general education and nursing care to patients via telephone or in person. responds to and resolves patient/family questions and needs.

triages and schedules patients as appropriate, ensuring appointment preferences are given to patients in emergency situations.

 

back office duties:

prepares the necessary equipment and supplies for exam. maintains inventory of supplies in examination rooms, replenishes as required. maintains exam rooms for necessary supplies and materials. ensures cleanliness.

prepares patient for examination or treatment and performs routine screening tests. explains treatment procedures to patients. instructs patients in collection of samples and tests.

reports patient’s concerns and symptoms, reactions, changes (appropriate to age) to the physician.

assists physicians with procedure set-ups, patient procedures and examinations.

administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with nursing standards. administers allergy injections, immunizations, and other therapeutic

 

requirements/qualifications:

bachelor' s degree in nursing from an accredited college or university

rn - registered nurse - state licensure (ca) and in good standing

advanced cardiovascular life support (acls) and basic life support (bls) through american heart association

3 years of progressively responsible and directly related work experience

 

schedule:

monday-friday 8:30am – 5:00pm or 9:00am – 5:30pm and every other weekend.

 

pay: doe
