looking for a new opportunity in manufacturing this is the position for you! our client a leading plastics manufacturer is currently seeking a slitter operator assistant for a direct hire role.

8am-4pm

 

the slitter operator assistant safely slits, edits and packages products according to specifications, sales orders, and quality requirements.

 

responsibilities:

  • maximize the amount of quality product produced on the unit / slitter.
  • perform set-ups per established practices, procedures and specifications that produce slit rolls within
  • 1/32” of ordered widths or per tolerance stated on the shop order. cut cores, gather skids and
  • packaging materials needed to produce and ship the orders.
  • load and unload bulk rolls using various material handling equipment including cranes and forklifts.
  • (must be able to obtain an osha certified forklift operator’s license)
  • slit and edit product to shop order’s length and width per established practices, procedures and
  • specifications. rolls must meet internal and customer quality standards.
  • unload, skid, label and package slit rolls per established practices, procedures, specifications and any
  • special instructions that may be noted in the shop order. move skidded materials to appropriate
  • storage or staging locations if necessary.
  • complete production paperwork; accurately recording set-up and production times, prime
  • production, scrap, consumed and returned inventory.
  • bring order and organization to the work cell.
