Machinist needed glendale - united states, phoenix

Come join a growing aerospace manufacturing firm in the northwest valley located conveniently off the i-17 and 101. we are looking to add a full-time machinist to our facility. normal shift hours are 6am-2:15pm. please see the job description below along with additional benefits. we look forward to hearing from you and setting up an interview.

responsibilities:
• prepare and operate cnc machines for 3 axis, 4 axis, and 5 axis machining
• understand specifications of the task at hand and the desired result by reading blueprints, mechanical drawings, travelers, and set-up sheets
• prepare and load raw materials and parts onto the machines
• prepare a test run to check if the machines produce outputs according to specification
• inspect and measure finished products and compare them with requirements to determine if the process has been completed properly
• check and maintain machinery daily to ensure the functionality
• supervise the machines while they execute the tasks
• set machines to complete full cycles to fabricate a large number of parts
• understands manual and conversational machining and turning

requirements:
• proven experience as cnc operator
• skill in operating cnc machinery and tooling as well as precision measurement tools
• ability to read and interpret mechanical documents and drawings
• computer savvy with a basic understanding of computer programming and cad/cam
• mechanical aptitude and good math skills
• a keen eye for detail and a results-driven approach
• good communication abilities

compensation:
• $18.00 – $26.00/hr doe
