quality engineer job posting:
a quality engineer works within the manufacturing, engineering and design teams to ensure the overall quality of a manufactured product and is tasked with creating documentation, devising quality tests and defining the criteria a test result should meet.
quality engineer duties:
• create product quality and/or qualification plans.
• document the incoming inspection acceptance criteria, plans, and methods.
• in process product / quality criteria and methods
• create statistical methods to optimize product quality and process control.
• conduct various forms of failure analysis and rcca for yield loss/customer returns.
• where needed, create or upgrade quality standards or procedures
• product / process audits to internal and external quality criteria and requirements.
• develop a variety of internal and external quality metrics using various statistical tools and visual aids
• find defects, determine the causes, and provide solutions
• anything else assigned by manager
quality engineer requirements:
• degree in mechanical engineering preferred
• 3+ years of experience in a related field.
• iso 9001 2015 quality system and /or related experience
• experience in the cable and connector industry preferred
• automotive, military, aerospace manufacturing experience a plus
• experience creating and deploying statistical data
• excellent attention to details
• must have good communication skills to all levels of staff
• must be analytical and methodical
• work well under pressure
• ability to multi-task
• excellent time management
• manufacturing: molding, electrical, electronic, assembly experience a plus
• asq cqu certificate preferred
