duties & responsibilities
• coordinate and participate unloading a high volume of inbound shipments from ups and fedex daily verifying required inbound paperwork with drivers to ensure that all product is properly received
• stage all receiving for accurate and complete verification of product receipt
• supervise team members to assure count verification in accordance with the highest possible levels of accuracy, productivity and urgency
• assure orderly picking/staging of or jobs for other departments throughout the entire workflow process
• oversee the proper completion of department tasks daily
• keep a clean, neat and orderly work area
• assist in maintaining security of the warehouse
• ensure efficient and safe operation of all material handling equipment
• conduct operations in a manner which promote safety
requirements
• basic math skills
• proficient in windows, microsoft word, excel and outlook
• ability to communicate with customers via email regarding receipt of goods discrepancies and returns
• understand a sense of urgency to meet deadlines
• must be able to effectively work in a team environment
• lead/provide guidance to lower level non-exempt hourly associates
• inspire trust and loyalty among co-workers, supervisors as well as internal and external customers
• available to work overtime and weekends when necessary
• forklift experience required
