job description:

a machine handover demonstrator is required to support sales growth in sales and customer experience through demonstration of features, characteristics and operation of equipment which finning sells at equipment delivery, final set-up and onboarding. completion of the cat machine delivery process including introduction to technology solutions, equipment technology working calibrations and customer delivery satisfaction sign off.

attend customer machine handover demonstrations to ensure the customer is thoroughly familiarised with his/her new machine and that the machine has the final set up to their needs. show customers how to perform required technology product calibrations. ensure the caterpillar machine delivery process is followed including introduction to dealer services and off-board technology solutions such as cat app.

attend finning organised events in order to showcase machine features and benefits to audiences or undertaking one on one supervision to guests during operation.

drive adoption of production technology features on advancing generations of equipment including follow up calls or visits where required.

support troubleshooting of technology product offerings where operator errors are causing machine performance perception problems.

specific skills:

equipment safe movement certificate for at least 95% of finning annual sales portfolio

equipment operator license in 360 tracked excavator

machine operator license and familiarisation in 'fair share' between peers of other high and lower volume product families as deemed require by business including wheel loaders, telehandlers, tracked dozers, skid-steer, paving products

desirable: caterpillar certified demonstrator operator qualification

full car driving license

strong communication skills and ability to explain both technical aspects and customer value benefits to different levels within customer organisations

able to influence to customers to use finning products and services

knowledge:

extensive knowledge of cat product range including in depth knowledge of equipment features, benefits and associated selling arguments.

continually learning latest developments in product from caterpillar and competitors.
