Live in carer / personal assistant - must drive - united kingdom, wales

looking for a female* live in carer/personal assistant in south wales (bridgend), 2 week on 2 week off rota, self-employed/paye (which includes 5.6 annual leave pro rata, sick leave, pension etc), double pay on all bank holidays and other perks. for self-employed individuals the weekly rate currently stands at £1160 per week and paye pays £980 (before tax).

looking for a reliable individual to provide live in care to a lady in her 60’s who is tetraplegic and suffers other health conditions.

the client has specific needs thanks to her disability, which include manual bowel evacuation, hoisting, she uses an electrically operated wheelchair, and requires someone who is comfortable driving a larger vehicle which is converted for ease when out and about. but more than that, the client really needs someone who is reliable, has a sense of humour, is organised, motivational, a team player, and someone who is caring.

things that are really important to the client:

manual bowel evacuation experience is preferred, however full training is provided. (this is essential to the management of a tetraplegics life, doing this daily, is what keeps the client alive).

*female owing to personal care and client preference

driver as the client isn’t confined to her home

previous experience of providing live in care is also preferred, but not essential.
