we specialise in translating complex environmental and health & safety laws into plain english for england, wales, scotland and northern ireland. we provide expert, relevant information to a customer base ranging from individual consultants to blue chip organisations.

customers access our information through an online system, which is updated daily as new legislation and policy comes in. subscribers use our systems to find everything they need through our unique structure, clear menus and custom-built search engine.

we are looking for a php programmer to continue development on the front and back-end systems that make up our web site. this would involve the maintaining of the existing codebase as well as development of new features. the role is a key foundation of the business so would best suit an individual who has high confidence in their ability, can learn quickly and is looking to work on a long-term project.

you will be working alongside the existing technical team on these projects as the primary dedicated php developer and will have the support and guidance of the wider team when approaching new challenges. this position would be ideal for someone who relishes problem solving and finding creative solutions.

the role is home based with 1 day per week in the gates head office.
