our client is one of the leading producers of paper based packaging in the world, with longevity, sustainability and innovation at its heart.

these graduate operations management trainee vacancies are in the uk corrugated division, a key player in a dynamic, fast paced and constantly evolving industry. as a business it is both creative and innovative, providing eye catching packaging solutions and displays to support the sales and marketing campaigns of much of the uk manufacturing industry, as well as ground breaking ecommerce designs, and business solutions for their customers packaging, transport and sustainability challenges.

paper based packaging is the ultimate sustainable resource (in the uk 80% of all corrugated cardboard is recycled, and the average cardboard box contains 75% recycled fibres). coupled with its circular business model our client is proud to be protecting the planet as an integral part of their day job.

this year they are looking for recent graduates with a technical or engineering degree to join their uk operations management graduate training scheme – if you have a passion for manufacturing, and are keen to get hands on with £multi million machines working on both implementation and improvement projects as well as maintenance issues this could be the opportunity for you.

over the course of the two year scheme, graduates will have the opportunity to really develop their technical manufacturing knowledge and experience in a practical environment, using the theories they have already studied. with at least 2 different placements, each of approximately 12 months, on different uk sites (geographical mobility across the uk is essential) the levels of exposure and responsibility, and the opportunities to develop are vast.

it is important that our client's trainees reach their full potential both personally and professionally, while making a real contribution to the bottom line, so they are provided with the perfect learning environment of innovation, motivation, responsibility and support. they will receive on and off the job training, mentoring and coaching, in a real life, challenging work setting.

the recruitment process will consist of a telephone interview, a video interview and an in person assessment centre, and it will be complete by december 2022 with offers made for a september 2023 start. relationship building is key to success in their business, and this starts at the recruitment stage – all screening, emails and interviews are undertaken by a ‘real’ person, so there is a human connection throughout. feedback will be given on request for all stages after telephone interview.

if you are up for the challenge, then please apply with your cv and a covering letter explaining why you are interested in the role, and what strengths you offer as a candidate, by the closing date of 04/11/22.
