how can technology be used to monitor depression?

the emteq research team is investigating this via the mood study. this major study aims to test a new medical device to help monitor depression. we wish to test how well this device can provide real-time measurements of the wearer's emotional state.

looking for 30 volunteers aged between 18-40 years, with the ability to visit our lab in brighton.

the trial includes:

a telephone interview to assess your eligibility (10 mins) a testing session, where you are paid £50 to complete tasks with the device (4 hrs)

the testing session includes talking about your typical moves and behaviours, and performing activities (e.g. watching emotional videos) that can affect your emotions.

all eligible participants who complete the study will be reimbursed for their time.

they will also be invaluable in helping produce a medical device we hope can eventually be used to treat mental health conditions like depression.

your participation and data collected will be anonymous.

for more information and/or for taking part, book a free phone call with one of the researchers: https://moodproject.youcanbook.me/
