complex care assistant - all training paid!

de74 area of derby- excellent transport links to a50 and m1.

at the request of our client, we require females only for this role. a full clean driving licence is essential.

pay rate:

gbp10.00 - gbp10.50 per hour

gbp15.00- bank holidays

weekly pay

preferred shift patterns:

monday 1000 - 1700

tuesday 0930 - 1145

wednesday 0930 - 1230

thursday 0930 - 1700

friday 1000 - 1200

saturday 0900 - 1800

sunday 1000 - 1200

in addition to the above preferred shift patterns, our client also has a support visit from 0800 - 0830 across six days of the week to administer medication. ideally, we are looking for two or three individuals who can split the preferred shifts between them, and to allow for holiday/sudden absence cover. we can also consider a 'rolling rota' pattern. other domiciliary care calls are also included in the 0800 - 0830 visits around the derby area these hours are between 0700 - 1700

prestige nursing & care are looking to expand a small team of complex care assistants to provide support for a male in his late 30s across a range of needs. our client has an acquired spinal injury (c4/c5) together with diagnoses of autonomic dysreflexia and asthma.

our client has been supported by prestige nursing & care for over 12 years and our intervention ensures they have their daily medication, wash/shower routine maintained and visits to the local community.

complex tasks include caring for a supra pubic catheter, bladder washouts, medication via specialist route and hoisting via ceiling-track hoist. they live in a purpose-built annexe of the main family home, and part of our support is to provide respite for the family. our client aspires to move into their own property in the future.

longer day shifts include trips out to either the cinema, out for dinner, trips to local landmarks, shopping or even trips to seaside- wherever the fancy takes! it is essential that care workers hold a full clean driving licence as they will need to drive the client's wheelchair accessible vehicle to facilitate trips out.

the ideal applicants will be laid back with a good sense of humour and an outgoing nature. complex care experience with acquired spinal injuries is an advantage, but full training will be provided by our nurses and a suite of learning modules.
