about this role:

the human resources generalist will provide support for hr initiatives and services. the successful candidate will be a highly qualified, results-oriented professional who will assist with all aspects of the employee life cycle from recruiting/onboarding to employee exit procedures, including performance management, compensation planning, employee relations, benefits management support.

duties/responsibilities:

  • support and assist the director of human resources.
  • administer new hire on-boarding and orientation.
  • responsible daily for the tracey time & paycor data entry including employee’s attendance and pto hours.
  • maintain up-to-date knowledge of federal and state employment law and compliance requirements.
  • coordinate changes, open enrollments, and training for employee benefits programs.
  • communicate all personnel changes including hires, terms, transfers, rate changes, and bid sheets.
  • develop effective recruitment strategies with the human resources team.
  • maintain and organize employees’ personnel records.
  • assist with payroll processing
  • audit monthly safety training paperwork
  • must maintain general housekeeping and an orderly work area.
  • responsible for all other procedures and instructions as required by the job function.
  • must adhere to all safety and environmental policies.
  • all other duties as assigned by the director of human resources or any member of management.

    requirements/key attributes:

  • high school diploma/ged; associates degree in human resources, business administration, or related field preferred
  • at least three years of human resource management experience preferred.
  • excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • ability to prioritize tasks and delegate them when appropriate.
  • ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
  • proficient with microsoft office suite or related software.
  • proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s systems.
