Assembly technician - united states, rochester (minnesota)
adecco is currently looking for an assembly technician in the rochester area for a well establish client. the assembly techncian will be working at a shift, monday - friday from 8:00am - 4:30pm and the pay is $16.00/hour for this temp to hire opportunity, please see the job details below.
essential duties and accountabilities:
• assemble units according to specifications, perform visual checks on all part of units for excess burrs or other
visible defects and check stack height of gears for proper clearance.
• disassemble rejected units and inspect for burrs, misalignment or defective components.
• perform final runout inspection of ring diameter and flange face using dial indicator.
• transport component parts from and finished units to proper stocking location in warehouse.
• participate in problem solving, teamwork, quality workmanship, excellent work ethic and a positive attitude are
highly valued.
• notify group leader when safety supplies are running low.
• discuss and implement continuous improvement ideas while closely working with other related functions;
manufacturing engineering, design engineering, manufacturing and quality.
job knowledge, skills and abilities:
• proficiency in print reading including gd&t requirements.
• interpersonal skills required to support team environment
• knowledge of reading gages.
education and experience:
• high school education or equivalent.
• two years prior assembly experience
• ability to use hand tools including micrometer, scales, indicators and gages.
• physically able to lift and move automotive differentials weighing up to 30 lbs.
work environment/physical demands:
• work is performed primarily standing in a shop floor setting.
• candidate must be able to lift 30 lbs
