Machine assembly technician - united states, rochester (minnesota)

adecco is looking for a skilled machinne assembly technician in the rochester area working in with advanced automation assembly equipment. the position is to fullfill an a shift need as the company runs monday - friday 7:00am - 3:30pm. the pay is $18.00 - $22.00/hour based on experience
 
job position summary:
 
-assemble and test machines and/or assemblies while meeting production schedules.  

-initiates product and process improvements with respect to quality, cycle time, and cost.
 
principal accountabilities:

assembles machines and subassemblies according to prints, process sheets, and all relevant documentation.

tests machines and subassemblies to meet established machine specifications.  

align, fit, or assemble component parts using hand tools, power tools, fixtures, templates, or microscopes.

test performance of robotic assemblies, using instruments such as precision slugs, chips, or electronic voltmeters.

requires a cross-disciplined level of knowledge including electrical, mechanical, and machine software skills. 

assists in creating/revising build process.

performs other related duties as required. 

minimum requirements:

associate's degree in a technical field preferred.

2+ years of relative machine build assembly experience required.

physical demands:

while performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts and is regularly exposed to vibration.

the employee must occasionally move heavy objects of no more than 50lbs.

the noise level in this type of work environment is usually loud; where necessary, hearing protection equipment is provided.
