Hr compliance, audit and policy manager - united kingdom, leeds, west yorkshire

flutter is currently undergoing an exciting hr transformation, establishing a cross-divisional global hr operations function underpinned by workday as the global people technology platform. this people centre of excellence will deliver agile, scalable hr services and a high quality experience to flutter's brands and divisions. this includes a new specialist services support function partnering with specialist hr teams to drive and support in areas including, reward; talent, engagement, and learning; audit, policy, and compliance. as our hr compliance, audit and policy manager you will be responsible for ensuring flutter's current hr policies and guidance are up to date and take account of legislative and regulatory requirements and will lead in partnership with relevant stakeholders in the business to create new guidance as required. this role is accountable for all hr audit and compliance activities from across flutter's group, uk&i and international divisions. this is an opportunity to be in at ground level and build up a team of policy, audit and er analysts and specialists, delivering services internationally. you will also be working in partnership with relevant stakeholders, be responsible for ensuring flutter's current hr policies and guidance are up to date and take account of legislative and regulatory requirements. responsibilities:

hr audit and compliance

in consultation with wider group and divisional hr stay up to date with current legislative, codes and best practices to ensure all processes and supporting documentation are compliant.

oversee delivery of regular audit and compliance activities across all of group hr operations.

lead the development and management of compliance frameworks for people data collection, storage, sharing and reporting.

understanding of the gdpr and other data protection laws in the countries we operate in and ensuring all processes, reporting and policies remain in compliance.

hr policy

partnering with hr policy owners and other stakeholders to ensure hr information and documents such as policies, guidelines, and faqs are up to date and compliant with local legal and regulatory regulations.

partner with the core services and knowledge and effectiveness leads to identify policy, procedure or process gaps.

serve as the central point of contact for all hire to retire hr policies to ensure consistency across hr.

liaise with appropriate stakeholders and internal/external experts to draft, review and validate new or changing policy documentation.

employee relations

oversee the delivery of administrative and support services for employee relations processes.

provide guidance during employee relations processes to ensure compliance.

management and development

manage the development of policy, audit and compliance team members and oversee workload.

optimise resources within the team and leverage capabilities to ensure the right skills matrix.

the ideal candidate:

proven background leading and managing hr policy, audit and compliance teams.

demonstrate understanding of the audit process across hr services and technology dealing with external and internal auditors.

strong people and stakeholder management skills to support the delivery of complex processes.

strong grasp of data protection laws in various countries.

working knowledge and understanding of hr compliance requirements across a global business, particularly for the gaming industry.

strong background in employee relations (er), with ability to advise on complex issues related to er.

experience working in global complex federated organisations preferred.

experience delegating work to others and developing junior staff.
