this ofsted outstanding-rated primary school is looking for a site manager who will take pride in looking after the school by ensuring that it provides a safe, clean and pleasant environment for the children to learn in.
this is an especially exciting time for the school as they will be moving to a new school building in 2023.

35 hours per week, monday to friday, 10.30am – 6.30pm
grade 6 scale point 16-20: £24 012- £25 991 pa pro rata
28 days holiday, to be taken outside of term time

the successful candidate will be responsible for the school’s security, health and safety, site maintenance and repairs, cleaning and hygiene and managing contracts and contractors.
you will ensure that the site and grounds are maintained at all times in a safe, clean and healthy state for pupils, staff, visitors and other users of the site.
the site manager is expected to be a full participating member of the school community and work closely with the headteacher and school business manager to ensure high standards.
main responsibilities
security - to manage and ensure the security of the school premises at all times including opening and closing the school in the morning and evening respectively.
health and safety - to ensure the site remains a safe environment at all times.
service, site maintenance and repairs - to set the priority for maintenance and repairs and carry out any basic repairs. to ensure the building and grounds are in a safe condition. to ensure the lighting and heating of premises are functioning appropriately.
cleaning and hygiene - to oversee the cleaning of the school and line manage the cleaners.
supervision - to oversee contractors working on site.
management and administration - negotiate the renewal and manage the arrangements of maintenance contracts for the school. to help manage the external lettings.
all of the above points should be carried out in accordance with the specifications of the headteacher and the governing body.

their personal qualities will include reliability, trustworthiness, flexibility, excellent communication skills, an ability to manage their workflow and a fab sense of humour is essential! this is an active role and alongside the paperwork it will also require a very hands on approach in working around the site.
