gbr recruitment ltd are proud to be working exclusively with a leading bespoke furniture & interior fit out business recruiting for a highly experienced head of sales & marketing to come in & design the sales, marketing & npd / npi strategy, delivering the defined strategic business plans right across the operation driving the business forward from a commercial perspective by successfully increasing revenue streams along with bringing in new business wins & developing current business partnerships by up selling new service offerings & selling new innovative product ranges that supplement the current portfolio. you will be equally experienced in both wholesale sales processes & 360 degree marketing processes ensuring the two functions combined with superior customer service levels deliver real tangible results to both the top & bottom lines. wholesales sales skills are required to succeed in this key smt role plus the ability to implement positive change, mentoring coaching & developing your team of 6 reports. the 6 reports will be: bdm, account development managers (x2), office manager, marketing manager & a product designer. you will be a passionate people centric person too creating a vibrant fun working environment so the team can excel & achieve, making a real difference. this is a fantastic highly respected company that prides itself in what it does. duties: increase revenue streams & convert new business wins in wholesale deliver the sales & marketing strategy successfully across the operation play a key role in npd / npi suggesting new diverse product ranges mentor, coach & develop your team of 6 direct reports to success manage budgets & forecasts plus kpi's & mi implement new routes to market to maximise profits write tender bids for larger contracts promoting the businesses usp's deliver professional presentations to both clients & prospective clients network successfully at trade shows & events ensure customer deliveries are sent out otif via inter-dept liaison look at market trends, gaps in the market & what competitors do tactically work towards / exceed short, medium & long term targets analyse data & reports to accurately forecast & plan for the future promote a vibrant working atmosphere & the companies core values attend smt meetings representing the sales & marketing function assist the sister company with international sales desired attributes: an experienced head of sales & marketing professional or sales & marketing director or similar capacity within an sme sized company highly experienced in wholesale sales processes a strategic & operational professional tender writing experience a real mentor coach & developer of teams degree or equivalent qualification or time served in a comparable role interviews for this key role will take place wc: 08/08/22 onwards with an end of august or september start (depending on the successful applicants notice period)
