adeco is hiring for a temporary project manager for a large corporation in beaverton, michigan that has an immediate need!! the duties for the project manager are outlined below. salary starting range is $50.00 p/hr!!
the project manager will be the key focal contact within the organization for communication and requirements of the project. they are responsible for managing and coordinating the activities of assigned projects to ensure customer satisfaction and accomplishment of project goals. this position will require some travel (25% - 35%) and some entertaining of customers.
key duties and responsibilities:
1. manage and coordinate all phases of the project planning function and own stage gate process.
2. develop and communicate project plans, schedules, budgets, and performance with all applicable departments (inclusive of external vendors when required), in accordance with accepted policies.
3. monitors project status against goals/objectives and prepare related reports.
4. communicate the status of current assigned projects on shipping and installation status, as well as upcoming projects being entered into the system.
5. lead coordination of design reviews for evaluation of work order requirements to design, and cost implications.
6. assist in sales presentation/calls as needed.
7. develop, recommend, and participate in the implementation of programs designed to improve the unit’s performance in the areas of project planning, resource utilization, budget compliance, schedule compliance and customer satisfaction.
8. perform other related duties as may be required.
education/qualifications:
1. a minimum of a high school diploma required; advanced studies in technical application or bs degree in relevant field preferred.
2. a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a planning position/function in a manufacturing environment involving industrial equipment.
3. experience with project management tools and templates required.
4. excellent presentation, verbal and written communication skills.
5. willingness to travel required.
