Electrical engineer, manufacturing - united states, parkersburg
we have partnered with a global manufacture to find an electrical engineer to improve equipment electrical and automation systems performance and reliability, facilitating efforts by gathering information from operators, crafts, and observations on the production floor.
this position will:
prepare detailed plans utilizing scheduling and project management principles for major equipment outages to meet project deadline and budget
provide technical support for continuous improvement projects as part of a cross-functional team
prepare technical specifications for procurement of new equipment or repair of existing equipment.
provides input to a risk management plan in order to anticipate risks that adversely impact operations
candidates should possess:
bachelor in electrical engineering with 3+ years' experience in a manufacturing setting (including co-ops and internships)
experience assessing and reporting safety hazards associated with low to medium voltage equipment
troubleshooting electrical systems, controls, drives, dc/ac control systems, and 13.8 kv/480 kv power systems, and overhead and gantry cranes
plc programming (ex. allen bradley, siemens, modicon)
familiarity with national electrical code, including nfpa70e
this position offers:
salary target $85-95k (base) with participation in quarterly bonus program and up to a 9% employer contribution into the 401k plan
