Tutor/carer for young autistic adult - united kingdom, lambeth, london

we are looking for a tutor/carer for a young autistic adult (19).

you would look after her and supervise her as she does a range of activities at home, and also take her out on trips.

our daughter is active and lively. her communication is limited - she talks in words and phrases, rather than sentences - but she understands a great deal, and she is sociable; she likes being with people. sometimes her behaviour is challenging, but when she is doing an activity she enjoys, she can be very happy.

you would come to our house and then over the course of a session we would expect you to do some activities with her. depending on what she and you choose, this could be:

cooking a meal

going for a walk

doing some art - painting or craft (cutting and sticking)

going for a swim, or doing some other exercise (yoga, running)

dancing to music

going shopping

playing games, or doing a puzzle

reading a book

we would also expect you to spend some time just relaxing - ie watching tv.
