Cleaner & housekeeper for family in brighton - united kingdom, brighton, east sussex

we are a friendly busy working family with 3 school age children looking for an active and enthusiastic person to help keep our house running, clean and tidy to a high standard. this is a long term position, we need a reliable and trustworthy person to get to know how our home runs and take care of the home. hours are fairly flexible during the week, ideal hours are approximately 15 hours per week within school hours (but can be negotiated). we are in a central location (seven dials) easily reachable by public transport. all equipment and cleaning products provided.

the house must be kept tidy and in order including carrying out laundry and running some errands. you will be expected to get to know our home, where things belong and keep the house running smoothly! good attention to detail is essential and to take pride in your work.

duties include:

cleaning the whole house to a high standard including regular deep clean.

tidying up rooms, making beds

emptying bins

dusting and polishing furniture and fixtures

changing bed sheets weekly

washing towels weekly

stacking and emptying the dishwasher

helping with laundry - sorting, washing, loading and unloading laundry

folding and putting away clothes and linen including ironing

keeping the fridge/oven/kettle/microwave clean

cleaning windows (inside)

other adhoc housekeeping duties
