Process and quality engineer - plate - united states, parkersburg

we have partnered with our client to find a process and quality engineer, plate to optimize performance, maximize material recovery, eliminate process waste, and improve productivity and conversion costs through metallurgical solutions. 

specifically, this position will:   

maintain technical practices and quality systems requirements utilizing internal audits, nadcap audits, equipment calibration, car, pfmea, external audits, etc., and ensure customer specifications are met  

maintain and improve ndt processes to enhance performance, process efficiency and material recovery.

benchmark within the industry and sister facilities to ensure site maintains processes in compliance to customer needs and at best practice levels.

candidates should possess:  

bachelors of science in metallurgy/materials science/engineering

ndt/ut level iii certification preferred

3 years’ experience in metals manufacturing  

this is a 'hands-on' position with nearly half of the time spent on the manufacturing floor, observing processes to gather information on improving processes.
