we have an excellent opportunity for a lead process/plant engineer to join our growing team.
main tasks and responsibilities:
be responsible for the process engineers, and manage their day to day activities, work planning, holidays etc.
attend a daily meeting in process to discuss priorities for breakdowns, safety issues & quality improvements
communicate regularly with the engineers providing feedback regarding efficiency's, safety and quality
organise training and update the training matrix in line with new equipment to keep skills at the highest level
support the manager with the roadmap project optimising ppm, and efficiency to achieve a higher level of maintenance
find innovative ways of improving the operation, and efficiency of the process and plant equipment.
experience, skills & decision making
multi-skilled engineer
excellent fault finding and route cause analysis skills
experience of working in a fmcg environment
some supervisory experience would be beneficial
comfortable in autonomous decision making and team working
problem solving i.e. deciding the best solution for engineering problems with the resources available
decide what additional work and spares may be required
methods of improving operations
you will be required to advise managers on actions to be taken to resolve unusual situations i.e. flooding fire alarms breakdowns etc
