at gbr we have supported and resourced over 750 events this year. continuing growth means that we are creating a new role to oversee the day to day operations of the company.
this post requires a hard working and motivated individual, who has a genuine interest in the events industry. experience of small business office operations is essential.
you will be working alongside the owner as part of a small team, with responsibility for overseeing and delegating work to junior staff members.
key responsibilities include:-
- handling phone and email enquiries, answering customer queries and recommending suitable equipment for their requirements, then booking jobs into our bespoke system.
- organising schedules and allocating resources for upcoming hires and events.
- maintaining in-office calendars.
- purchasing
- bank reconciliation
essential requirements:
- ability to work without direct supervision – self managed.
- excellent customer service skills – friendly and helpful.
- strong time keeping skills.
- confident with it and capable of learning new systems quickly.
- an aptitude for problem solving and improvisation.
- the role will require some understanding of the technical aspects of our industry, which can be learnt “on the job”.
- ability to delegate tasks effectively
desirable:
- a genuine interest in the events industry.
-basic understanding of av equipment.
- an understanding of events operations and logistics
- direct experience with av, audio, lighting, or rigging disciplines.
