Head of development - united kingdom, buxton, derbyshire
the head of development is a key role to help shape the future of buxton opera house and support its ambitions for growth. the post holder will be charged with creating, implementing and delivering a clear and ambitious fundraising strategy, working closely with the ceo, and major internal and external stakeholders and in alignment with high peak borough council's cultural and heritage plans and visitor economy strategy. this is a senior management position and requires someone who is able to take a collaborative approach to ensure that the organisation can maximise opportunities, maintain consistent messaging and meet income targets. the successful candidate will be expected to generate income from trusts, foundations, businesses, individuals and statutory sources. extensive demonstrable experience of campaign development and delivery within the arts, a minimum of five years fundraising experience with a demonstrable track record of raising five and six figure sums and the ability to deliver a high standard of customer service to both colleagues and external stakeholders both online and face-to-face is essential. department: fundraising & development salary: gbp38,000-gbp44,000 per annum (depending on experience) contract: full time, permanent (40 hours per week) closing date for applications: midnight, sunday 16 october 2022 first stage interviews: w/c 31 october 2022 second stage interviews: w/c 7 november 2022
