Store manager - hospitality - united kingdom, wokingham, berkshire

our client is a leading multi-national cinema exhibitor who are passionate about delivering the very best movie-going experience. they currently have a vacancy for a suitably qualified person to manage a branded coffee shop at their cinema in wokingham.

the successful candidate will be a confident ambassador for the brand and will focus on customer satisfaction whilst inspiring and developing your team to be the best they can.

responsibilities & main duties

as store manager, your store is yours. naturally there are brand standards to adhere to and the customer is always at the heart of everything our client does, but when it comes to creating unbeatable coffee experiences, there's plenty of room to let your personality flow too. championing the company culture, you'll put your team, customers and community first and make it your mission to get to know them, understand what makes them tick and perform the little, big and medium-sized acts that leaves everyone smiling

• manage the day-to-day operation of the coffee shop outlet within the cinema ensuring exceptional guest service in all areas

• ensure adequate resource planning on a weekly basis

• to recruit, train, coach and develop the team to ensure that they deliver brand standards and a great customer experience

• ensure company policies and procedures are adhered to at all times

• warrant practices of good food hygiene ensuring adherence at all times including, but not exhaustive to, temperature logs, cleaning logs, date checks and stock rotation

• to help minimise losses by upholding policies and procedures especially in relation to wide stock inventory, spoilage, stock shortages, yield results and other kpis as set out by the company

what experience do you need?

you must have experience in a management role in a retail or hospitality company, ideally within a branded coffee environment. you'll need to show you have experience of running a successful business as well as demonstrating the right behaviours, our client looks at what you achieve as well as how you achieved it.

our client aim to develop and challenge their managers so they can be promoted into functions such as training, audit and area management. there may also be future opportunities to travel abroad and work with our clients international franchise partners, helping them to train team and open new stores.
