responsibilities for the director of nursing (don) job:
• manage the assistant don, supervisors, and charge nurses to provide exceptional resident care at all levels
• serve as the liaison and facilitate communication between administration, physician, staff, residents, family members, and other departmental personnel in regards to resident care
• responsible for regulatory compliance, audit preparation, budgeting, cost control, training, and development of staff
• provides project management and technical expertise to a broad array of issues and initiatives
qualifications:
• rn with 5-7 years of experience as a don in skilled nursing or continuing care retirement center
• licensed rn in nc or multi-state rn
• bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred
