drive revenue by managing the full sales process from proposal development through to contracting

what do i need in order to deliver this role?

critical knowledge, skills and abilities to perform this role:

commercial and customer centric mind-set with the ability to engage effectively with all levels from c-suite down.

understanding of how commercial buildings are designed, built and operated in the us market and appreciation of how the customer will use the product.

experience working with real estate clients to apply green building performance rating systems

an analytical mind with a focus on solutions and decision-making using sound judgement.

demonstrable ability to work proactively, independently to pace and quality, goal-orientated and able to develop realistic action plans while being sensitive to time constraints and resource availability.

a team player comfortable working in an international context.

excellent communicator - able to write clearly and concisely and effectively present ideas and document activities. ability to explain complex technical issues to non-technical audiences

educated to a degree level or professional standing equivalent in a related subject

good it skills, particularly in microsoft office suite; familiarity with crm systems a plus.

ability to travel nationally on a regular basis and internationally on occasion

passion for sustainability in the built environment

desirable knowledge, skills and abilities to perform this role:

one or more of the following credentials: breeam advisory professional, previously or currently licensed breeam assessor, leed ap in bd+c, id+c or o+m, bomi-hp , bomi-rpa , cmpc, sustainability excellence professional (sep), irem acom, irem cpm

the job is typically seated, using a computer for the majority of the time. regular hours are expected as the role is customer facing (typically m-f 8am-5pm central or eastern), however occasionally the days may begin earlier or go longer depending on work requirements and meeting schedule with the uk teams.

when attending tradeshows and conferences, the individual will be required to be on their feet for extended periods of time.

other notable or unusual requirements

the ability to travel is required, including internationally on occasion. the travel may be by any single or combination of modes, including by plane and train. travel is generally linked to the conference seasons (spring and fall) though the occasional trip outside of that may also be required. conference trips may last 3 - 4 days or longer, depending on the itinerary. these are generally planned a month in advance at least but employees should be able to travel at short notice for short trips if needed.

although most travel is within/between cities where public transport is available, employees that may drive for business purposes will be required to hold and provide evidence of a current and clean driver's license as well as business insurance on the vehicle they use.

salary range: $90,000 - $120,000
