commercial services group (csg) is a +gbp400m trading group supporting 15,000 education and public sector customers globally. the business operates a multi-brand structure through five trading divisions: people services, global education resources, community services, energy and procurement services. as part of csg, ces holdings is a growing global education resources supplier, delivering to clients across the world. a vacancy has become available to join the ces finance team and we are looking for an experienced finance manager. about the role a member of the ces holdings limited senior management team and working closely with the ces board, this role is at the forefront of the business providing a firm foundation for all aspects of financial reporting and commercial analysis enabling the business to make informed judgements to facilitate profitable growth. for the next 2 years, you ll be tackling a dynamic agenda supporting international growth and rapid transformation. you will need to be both flexible and proactive and have exceptional communication skills. key qualities for the role include: qualified professional with significant experience in an sme environment, responsible for all aspects of financial reporting. commercial focus, capable of identifying the key risks and opportunities that impact the performance of a business. strong leadership skills and the ability to hit the ground running with immediate impact. a self-starter, proactive and results driven, prepared to be hands on. strong systems skills and the ability to streamline and automate processes. analytical, familiar with data analysis, benchmarking, cost benefit analysis, modelling. strong communication skills. able to present information and analysis in a clear concise manner, with constructive and meaningful evidence to support change. key duties & responsibilities providing timely and accurate information including statutory accounts, management reports, business analysis, budgeting, forecasting, business planning, cash management and forecasting, balance sheet reconciliation. track margin variations and trends, analyse, assess and make proposals to improve business performance. develop a detailed analysis of kpis that will help business leaders to monitor and control performance in their area. improve efficiencies and productivity by focusing on the utilisation of resources across the business. look for new insights, opportunities and risks surrounding commercial models and proactively support business leaders. investment analysis and commercial evaluations for new and existing projects, using npv, irr, roce and payback calculations. process controls, policies and procedures to maintain the integrity of the financial data. all aspects of hmrc compliance and legislative requirements in respect of financial reporting in the uk and internationally. annual insurance negotiations and renewals and point of contact for claims. maintain the integrity of all financial systems, data and controls. lead, manage and support the finance team including the day to day monitoring of all financial operations. we offer our employees: 25 days holiday, plus bank holidays birthday off work life assurance cover company pension flexible first, hybrid working a culture of progression & development shopping discounts & retailer offers team & company events elearning portal eap programme referral scheme health & wellbeing platform health cash plan initiative discounted gym membership
