this request is for a temporary contractor to provide vendor performance management and data analytics support.  this role will work with all markets and be responsible for: vendor performance improvement, development of key operational performance indicators, invoice audits and support for monthly and quarterly vendor performance reviews.

overall responsibilities: 

in this role you will support overall program performance improvement in the area of utility locates, also known as the 811 call before you dig program.  as a member of the 811 program we are responsible to complete construction projects without damage to other utilities and protect network assets deployed in multiple cities.  the primary objectives for this position include assessment of current process and vendor performance, development of performance data and support implementation of a continuous improvement program.

top 3 daily responsibilities: 

support evaluation of “as-is” process and program performance at a market/city level.

review existing performance data (program and vendor) and identify additional data required for complete performance measurement.

lead development of a continuous improvement program

implement key performance indicators, including;

 financial/invoicing quality

process and standards adherence

create vendor performance score cards

develop outline for, and facilitate, vendor quarterly business reviews.

mandatory

five plus years of experience.

bachelor's degree in; process engineering, data analytics or similar field

proven ability to work independently, self starter

strong understanding of state utility (811) processes

data analytics, able to combine data sources and analyze to identify trends.

advanced capabilities in google sheets/excel strong project management skills: organization, communications, negotiations, problem solving and reporting.

basic understanding of the internet services provider industry including: outside plant construction, network operations, fiber to the home (ftth) networks and utility locates

proficient in google suite applications

strong presentation skills

5+ years of experience including: data analytics and vendor management

desired

six sigma background is a plus
