adecco is assisting a local client recruiting for import export agent job in miramar, fl.  this import export agent job is a temp to hire opportunities working onsite at client site the first 3 months and then working half week in the office and half week from home!

import export agent job is responsible for maintaining the process of imports and exports within the legal framework, provide a good service to both internal and external customers and comply with established times to minimize both time and cost risks.  if you meet the qualifications listed below – apply now!

essential duties and responsibilities

  • process, validate import and export shipping documentation complying with us customs regulations on operational system connect with u.s.  customs platform. file cf214 /7512 / it’s
  • knowledge of import /export software for the elaboration of documentation required for shipments crossing to the usa (sap / integration point a plus)
  • work in a fast & multitasking pace environment avail to complies with deadlines require for the business
  • identify discrepancies on documents sent by broker and able to keep track of all documents sent to the warehouse for the receiving of goods.
  • review documents related to import processes sent from the broker and identify discrepancies.
  • prepare all documents for incoming shipments required to receive imported items at the distribution center.
  • upload shipment inventory into ftz software to create cf214.
  • work with local freight forwarder and all operational process and issues
  • prepare the inbound delivery ibd list for shipment to send it to the dc, including the cf214 with all documents for set receiving appointments for each shipment.
  • prepare freight cost information of all shipments received and summit to finance department for costing.
  • review and maintain local import demurrage/other container fee report validating with local freight forwarder data  
  • support imports and export supervisor on operational / cost reports according to the needs of the business.
  • requirements:

  • college degree in related areas.
  • minimum 3 years of experience on freight forwarding environment / import -export department.
  • ability to work under pressure.
  • strong communication skills.
  • microsoft office, excel, word & ppt.
  • bilingual in english and spanish preferably.
  • knowledge of us customs rules and regulations.
  • pay rate range $25-$28 per hour.  hours:  8:00am-5:00pm, monday to friday
