Material handler 1st shift - united states, springfield (massachusetts)

adecco is looking for a material handler near ward hill, ma. 

this is a 1st shift position, starting at $20 per hour.

education:
high school diploma or equivalent required.

experience:
requires a minimum of 1-2 years related experience, preferrably material handling. the proven ability to consistently and independently follow policies and procedures, instructions, and to meet schedules required. must be able to operate powered industrial trucks and with the ability to operate the equipment at various heights. need basic computer skills to navigate erp systems, outlook and shipping software in order to support the operation in its daily functions.

minimum language requirements:
english proficiency is required for the role. english proficiency entails reading, writing, speaking, and comprehension in english.

position objective:

to provide shipping, receiving, storage and order fulfillment services for harzardous and non harzardous finished goods, inventory and materials at the assigned facility(s).

picks, prepares, packages, labels and ships all harzardous and non harzardous material according to prescribed regulations using proper dispatching equipment.

oversee the shipment of harzardous and non harzardous materials and/or finished goods in a timely manner according to customer requirements.

lead and/or participate in special projects requiring research and/or coordination of special services related to the receiving, shipping, and inventory control of harzardous and non harzardous goods.

may perform other related duties as required and/or assigned. must be willing to work overtime and weekends as required.
