read and understand single line drawing, double-line drawings, isometrics, shop fabrication drawings and mechanical schematics preferred
ability to work independently and in a team environment
thorough knowledge of pipe fitting procedures and skills
problem solving ability
responsibilities
primarily mechanical assembly, but pneumatic and some basic electrical may also be required
tasks include assembly, mounting, fastening, drilling & taping, placing, leveling, plumbing pneumatics and/or other tube and pipe-based systems
assemble and install piping systems such as ductile iron, pvc, steel, copper, and stainless-steel pipe
connects pipe using threaded, welded, soldered, brazed, fused, or cemented joints and hand tools
secures pipes to structure with brackets, clamps, and hangers using hand tools and power tools
wire components
assist with a variety of other duties as requested, including machine surface preparation and painting, unpacking received equipment, packing out-going equipment, crating, and packaging outgoing machinery, etc
