Shipping clerk - united states, bowling green (ohio)

adecco staffing is hiring!  we are looking for candidates with shipping & receiving experience to work at our client location in strongsville, oh.  this employee is responsible for pulling orders accurately in preparation for prompt shipment and verifying and entering receipt of incoming shipments.

once you convert to fte, our client offers:

primary duties:

examine shipment contents and compare with records, such as manifests, invoices, or orders, to verify accuracy

prepare documents, such as work orders, bills of lading, or shipping orders, to route materials

record shipment data, such as weight, charges, space availability, damages, or discrepancies, for reporting, accounting, or recordkeeping purposes

confer or correspond with establishment representatives to rectify problems, such as damages, shortages, or nonconformance to specifications

requisition and store shipping materials and supplies to maintain inventory of stock

determine shipping methods, routes, or rates for materials to be shipped

tow motor operation.  loading and unloading of materials from trucks

qualifications

high school diploma or equivalent

excellent organizational and attention to detail skills

ability to convey information in a professional manner

while performing the duties in this role, the employee is regularly required to stand. the employee is frequently required to walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear.

ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
