Quality technician - micro lab tech - united states, bowling green (ohio)

adecco, in partnership with world's largest food & beverage company, is looking for a microbiology lab technician located in solon, ohio.   the microbiologist is responsible for safety checks of product, product testing, trouble shooting and overall implementation of the quality monitoring scheme of the plant. hours are:

3- 12-hour days – tuesday, wednesday, and thursday - 6:30 pm – 6: 30 pm.  salary is $25/per hour.

 

duties include:

visually verify food contact surfaces for unacceptable soil levels or broken/damaged equipment. work with team on escalated issues as needed

visually verify raw materials, packing, semi-finished materials and equipment for condensation, overspray, and allergen cross contact

verify scale and thermometer accuracy

verify weight control of portions

verify & inspect machine and sensors

verify oven settings

collect temperature readings

visually inspect product for sensory attributes

measure & verify weights of the product/machine

collect samples for sensory evaluation

 

qualifications required: 

associate or bachelors in microbiology or related science field.

experience with basic lab equipment

experience with general documentation practices and gmp compliance

experience with common microbiology lab instrumentation

good computer skills (i.e. ms word, ms excel, e-mail).

able to work - three 12-hour days – tuesday, wednesday, and thursday - 6:30 pm – 6: 30 am

preferred:

1-3 years’ experience as a microbiologist in a manufacturing lab work environment

food industry experience
