Truck shop technician - united states, jacksonville (florida)
adecco is assisting a local client in recruiting for a truck shop technician position in riverview, fl handling commercial grade transmissions. this position requires previous mechanics experience and has a pay range of $22-$26 an hour. monday-friday 8a-5p. if you meet the qualifications listed below – apply now!
essential duties and responsibilities include the following:
• receive a schedule of daily assignments from the supervisor
• must meet or exceed time guidelines for removal and replacement of calibrate ecu's and have the ability to diagnose, troubleshoot and install parts
• electronic diagnose and separate transmission problems from vehicle problems
• vehicle system knowledge
• organized record keeping or some filing may be required
• other duties may be assigned
qualifications:
• attendance/punctuality - is consistently at work and on time; ensures work responsibilities are covered
when absent; arrives at meetings and appointments on time. may be required to work nights and weekends to complete a job for customers as needed.
education and/or experience
• high school diploma or general education degree (ged), desired; and three to six months of automotive, truck, or
heavy equipment experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and ase certification desired
• allison factory maintenance trained when required
physical demands and work environment
while performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand/lift weights up to or more than 50 lbs. employees may lie, stand, or sit for an extended amount of time, working in extreme weather conditions, and changing environments; may be asked to work in confined spaces.
