Food production operatives orton - united kingdom, peterborough, cambridgeshire

our food production client based in orton southgate, peterborough are currently recruiting for 5x production operatives to join on a ongoing basis. working 12 hour shifts from 6am-6pm or 6pm to 6am, across monday to thursday or friday to sunday.

due to location you should ideally be within a walking/cycling distance of orton or have your own transport. this is an excellent opportunity for long term work with permanent contracts available after successful trial period.

pay rates:

£11.00 per hour

£11.88 per hour for working rotating shifts

£12.32 per hour for working rotating night shifts

paid breaks

overtime paid at £16.50 p/h after 40 hours worked.

duties for the role will include but not be limited to:

adding product mixture to machinery

mixing products together manually

quality checking

packing products into bagging area

moving and storing products using a pump pallet truck

due to the working environment, you will also be expected to wear full ppe including safety boots, coat and hair net. you will be happy to have some heavy lifting duties too. ppe and full training will be provided.
