as an operator machinist, you be part of our machine operator team located in holliston, ma. you'll get to:
read and interprets blueprints checking parts to print to ensure that parts are manufactured to the specifications. reviews and interprets job aids and shop orders.
uses measuring instruments such as verniers and gauges, to measure material, make necessary adjustments to ensure quality parts.
operates hand tools in order to make adjustments for set up.
selects correct tooling, ensures correct open height tonnage and weld settings, cleans tooling, and adjusts as needed. these activities may be performed up to 10 times per day.
performs math calculations to correctly setup machine.
reads, interprets, and completes routine paperwork, records proper information to ensure accuracy of inventory.
requirements
high school diploma or equivalent preferred.
ability to read, write, perform basic math calculations, and communicate clearly.
3-5 years of related experience operating production machinery such as press brakes, punch presses, spot welders, shears, and gas welding and mig welding
experience using verniers and depth gauges.
blueprint reading experience required.
