Pharmacy technician - united states, pasadena (california)

adecco medical & science is assisting a top client in the healthcare industry in recruiting for pharmacy technicians in palo alto, ca.  these position are full-time opportunities that do require you to work onsite.  there are 2 shifts available at this time.  

shifts available: 

day: 7am-3:30pm

evening: 3pm - 11:30pm 

weekends on a rotating basis

responsibilities:

enters patient medication orders into the pharmacy computer system; operates automated compounding and dispensing machines for preparation and storage of medications under the direct supervision of a pharmacist

maintains medication inventory; places and receives stock replacement orders

prepares, compounds and labels intravenous admixtures, cancer chemotherapy and parenteral nutrition patient specific doses using strict aseptic technique.

prepares, packages, compounds and labels non-sterile drug products for specific patients with appropriate final pharmacist checks.

education/requirements:

high school graduate or equivalent required.

iph - intern pharmacist or cpht - cert pharmacy tech

six (6) months of progressively responsible and directly related work experience
