Cnc programmer / estimator - united states, pasadena (california)

adecco is looking to fill an exciting cnc programmer/estimator role with a rapidly growing machining company in rancho cordova, ca. they are looking for a professional, responsible, cnc programmer that excels in a team first environment. must be able to produce high quality programs for the set up people on shop floor.

position responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • producing high quality programs for for set up people on the shop floor, enabling them to work efficiently and need little to no corrections to make conforming parts
  • programs 3-5 axis mill work and lathe work with live tooling
  • maintains and utilizes cad/cam libraries
  • create set up sheets and tool lists for set up people
  • ability to do own set ups when needed
  • very good understanding of gd&t
  • must be familiar with machining many different types of material including aluminum, plastics, steels, and titanium.
  • experience designing and building fixtures when needed. creating programs and modifying existing ones for increased efficiency
  • quoting/estimating: provide quick turn on machining cycle times for bid/rfq requests.
  • communicate with other department managers for multi process quotes
  • may interface with customers directly, via phone, or email
  • experience requirements:

  • bachelor of science degree or 5+ years of relevant technical work experience
  • minimum 2+ years’ experience programming with fusion 360
  • must be proficient programming complex parts for lath and mill, including,
  • live tooling on lathe
  • 5-axis mills
  • use of renishaw probing cycles in cnc program
  • 2+ years' experience using gd&t
  • knowledge of iso9001 or as9100 preferred.
