adecco is assisting with a local client to hire a direct hire full time director of building & equipment maintenance

what is in if for you? :

  • salary $ 90,000
  • hours: monday – friday, 8 am – 5 pm

  • the director, building and equipment maintenance will be responsible for all the company's equipment. also, they will be involved in the building and equipment maintenance, the planning of acquisition and improvement of machinery as well as the purchase and management of parts inventory. as well as in charge of the maintenance department.

    job duties for the director, building and equipment maintenance :
     

  • maintenance of the building and equipment
  • update the company's equipment inventory.
  • implement tools to improve the efficiency of maintenance department.
  • develop building maintenance programs and new equipment acquisition.
  • plan and supervise the upkeep and maintenance of the building with various contractors during visits by inspectors or insurance representatives.
  • negotiate and develop tariff agreements and service contracts with suppliers/contractors.
  • machinery acquisition planning and improvement
  • assess machinery needs.
  • work collaboratively with production/operations managers to evaluate the needs for equipment.
  • manage spare parts inventory.
  • resource management
  • supervise and organize the work of the various maintenance managers in order to keep the equipment fleet in an excellent state of operations.
  • lead, support and supervise the teams of mechanics who take care of the building, equipment, and machinery equipment.

  • requirements

  • bachelor degree in mechanical engineering or the equivalent.
  • more than five years of experience in a similar position and in management.
  • good knowledge of building technology including heating, air conditioning and ventilation systems (an asset).
  • english (written and spoken) and comfortable working in a windows environment.
  • organized.
  • reliable.
  • analytical mind and attention to detail.
  • problem solver.
  • good communication skills: great listener and able to transmit information.
  • interpersonal relationships: knowing how to work in a team and with clients.
