title: budget & grants administrator

pay: $50/hr

hours: m-f, 8:30 – 5 pm

location: newark, 07103

duration: 6 months, temp to perm.

duties:

  • oversee development and implementation of all clinical research for department of medicine.
  • manage annual budgets, perform periodic cost and productivity analyses
  • perform pre and post award, grant management activities
  • plan and implement strategies for generating resources and/or revenue for the department, implement appropriate budget controls.
  • work with principal investigators to resolve restricted funds deficits
  • plan, direct and monitor departments’ financial resources, maintain account management procedures including budget reporting and reconciliation of expenditure documents.
  • prepare research grant and contract proposals, develop research grant and contract budget proposals and assist with grant renewals.
  • oversee billing compliance activities.
  • other duties as assigned.
  • requirements: bachelor’s degree in finance or business administration and 3 years of healthcare administrative experience. masters degree or mba preferred. must have grants and contracts experience. knowledge of accounting procedures is required.
