senior obd calibration engineer expleo are currently working with a niche vehicle manufacturer who are globally renowned for lightweight ground breaking vehicles, who are currently recruiting for a senior engineer within powertrain controls and calibration , based in the uk on a permanent basis. you will be responsible for calibration and validation of obd ii engine software to meet legal and project requirements, with exposure to a wide range of powertrain controls activities from strategy development, calibration activities and climatic testing, for application in engine. the role will involve developing and implementing engineering processes to support project and departmental objectives. background and skills required for the senior engineer - odb calibration role include: ideally degree / hnc / hnd educated or hold equivalent experience knowledge of the obd legislation requirements experience of obd system algorithm design, development, calibration, and testing a background in petrol engine calibration, emissions testing and data analysis familiarity with obd demonstration testing to meet the requirements for certification knowledge of engine managements systems and related tools and software excellent understanding of powertrain controls strategy and software development knowledge of automotive legislation requirements ability to understand and write c-code automotive powertrain experience and obd gasoline calibration experience for this senior obd calibration engineer role you will hold a uk driving licence. the ability to read c programming language and a familiarity with hybrid propulsion systems and automatic transmission systems, is desirable but not essential. please note to meet with current legislation, right to work checks will be carried out to ensure candidates are able to work within the uk. regretfully, we are unable to support engineers that require sponsorship. enquiries: if you are interested in applying for the senior engineer - odb calibration role, or require further information, please contact: jacquie linton (phone number removed) (url removed)
