my client is an investment management firm based in the city and they are on the market looking for an investment data analyst to join their data office and help shape the way the organisation view and use data.
there are currently several data initiatives including includes better access to market data, creation or configuration of an edm system, migration from a largely etl to a mainly api based data access setup.
role:
work with the business stakeholders and business analysts to understand and create/update requirements and change requests, and understand impacts of changes in data and process etc.
identify additional investment data reconciliation needs and opportunities to continuously improve on the current business process.
work with data engineering, data development, data office and data protection office on relevant overlapping or related domains e.g. data dictionary, data flow, data quality etc.
participate in workshops, meetings, online/document exercises to progress a data related endeavour. its purpose may be to work with business stakeholders, architects and/or the development team to confirm requirements, workshop scenarios and possible solutions or present a solution.
participate in formal meetings e.g. it design advisory board (it- dab), architecture review board (arb) and finance design working group (fdwg) to present, various data working groups (dwg) as applicable, where invited.
skills needed:
experience with fixed income products and derivatives.
an understanding of bonds and swaps, their reference data, cashflow projection, market data required for their pricing etc is expected.
experience with market and reference data from vendors such as bloomberg, markit, refinitiv etc.
experience with scripting or programming languages
experience with apis and cloud technologies.
experience using data modelling software
